General Information

 

South Africa, is generally a well-developed country with a good infra-structure. Certainly so much so, that most tourists are pleasantly surprised. South Africa is a country of many cultures and languages, hence the nickname, “The Rainbow Nation”, but, English is spoken as the” lingua-franca” throughout the country. 

The summers are warm to hot, with mostly summer rain (with the exception of the western part of the Western Cape region). Winters are mild to cold (high lying areas). 

NOTE: Mpumalanga, Northern KwaZulu-Natal and Mozambique have a low occurrence of Malaria, however, prophylaxes, as prescribed by your Doctor is advised. Make sure your Doctor advises you on the side-effects of prophylaxes, as this can affect your tour negatively.
